BMW Launches New X3 30 xDrive M Sport in Argentina: Features and Pricing

BMW is expanding its SUV lineup in Argentina with the introduction of the new X3 30 xDrive M Sport. This latest variant slots into the middle of the existing range, which includes the 20 xDrive xLine and M50 xDrive M Performance models. The new X3 is produced at BMW's plant in Spartanburg, USA, and brings a mild hybrid (Mild Hybrid) powertrain to the Argentine market, alongside its signature xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

Under the hood, the X3 30 xDrive M Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine. This combustion engine is paired with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters. The integration of a 48V mild hybrid system, which includes a belt-driven starter-generator, assists the main engine and recovers energy during deceleration. This system works with a dedicated 48V battery and a DC-DC converter for the vehicle's 12V network. The combined output is a robust 258 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, available across a broad range from 1600 to 4500 rpm. BMW claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h, with a combined fuel consumption between 6.9 and 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers according to WLTP standards.

Visually, the M Sport designation brings distinct styling cues. The exterior is characterized by 19-inch alloy wheels with a specific M design, a high-gloss Shadow Line package, and the striking BMW Iconic Glow feature that illuminates the kidney grille's contour. It also includes a fixed panoramic glass sunroof with an electric sunblind, LED headlights, and puddle lights that project the BMW logo when the doors are opened. Inside, the M Sport theme continues with a leather-wrapped M steering wheel, aluminum trim, and an anthracite headliner. The front seats are sporty, electrically adjustable, with the driver's seat featuring a memory function. The vehicle measures 4755 mm in length, 1920 mm in width, and 1660 mm in height, offering a generous 570-liter boot capacity, expandable to 1700 liters with the rear seats folded. The fuel tank capacity is 65 liters. The new X3 30 xDrive M Sport is listed at US$97,900 and comes with a three-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty.
