BN, DAP Ready to Face Snap Elections

The political landscape in Malaysia is abuzz with preparations for potential snap elections, as Barisan Nasional (BN) and the Democratic Action Party (DAP) signal their readiness to face unexpected polls in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor. Utusan Malaysia reports that both major coalitions have instructed their respective party machinery to be on high alert, indicating a heightened state of political maneuvering.

BN Chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi expressed confidence in the parties' preparedness, urging citizens to make the best choices when the mandate is returned to them. He reiterated UMNO's unwavering commitment to the unity government in Negeri Sembilan, dispelling any notions of opposition. Meanwhile, DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke has issued directives for the party's full readiness, stemming from a Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting. Loke also affirmed DAP's steadfast support for Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun as the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, respecting the state's constitutional monarchy and traditions.
