BNI Delivers Aid to Earthquake Victims in NTT, Ensures Banking Services Continue

PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) is providing humanitarian assistance to communities in Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), impacted by a recent earthquake. The bank's efforts are concentrated on meeting the basic needs of affected residents, particularly those in refugee camps during the critical emergency response phase.

We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and share our grief over the disaster experienced by the community. In this emergency situation, BNI is present to help fulfill the most urgent needs so that support can be immediately felt by the affected community.

BNI's Corporate Secretary, Okki Rushartomo, stated that the bank, in collaboration with local government, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and other stakeholders, has identified essential needs in the affected areas. "We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and share our grief over the disaster experienced by the community. In this emergency situation, BNI is present to help fulfill the most urgent needs so that support can be immediately felt by the affected community," Okki said.

Initial aid distributed through the "BNI Berbagi" program includes essential supplies such as mineral water, rice, instant noodles, eggs, cooking oil, milk, biscuits, and baby diapers. This aid is being delivered in stages to various regions, including Ende, Borong, Labuan Bajo, Maumere, and Ruteng. BNI plans to continue monitoring the situation and coordinating with local authorities for further support based on evolving needs.

Beyond humanitarian aid, BNI is committed to maintaining its banking services in the affected areas. Most of its branches and ATMs remain operational, with measures in place, such as mobile branch services (O-Branch), to ensure continuity for customers, especially in areas where facilities require temporary closure due to damage.
