Body found in Nuevo León motel where Debanhi Escobar was located; victim unidentified

The Attorney General's Office of Nuevo León has launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body inside the Motel Nueva Castilla. Located on the Laredo Highway in Escobedo, the motel became the site of the grim find early Sunday morning.

Police were alerted around 1:15 a.m. after a group of individuals creating content for digital platforms entered the abandoned motel and located the corpse. Municipal police secured the area, and state investigators have taken over the case to determine the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

Forensic specialists processed the scene, collecting evidence before the body was transported to the Forensic Medical Service. Officials have not yet released information on the victim's identity or the cause of death. Unconfirmed reports suggest the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, and that visitors days earlier had reported intense odors, though no official intervention followed.

The Motel Nueva Castilla gained national attention in 2022 when the body of young woman Debanhi Escobar was found in a water tank on the property after an extensive search. Although the motel was under official guard for a period, it was later released and has since fallen into disrepair.
