Bolívar Wins, Returns to League Podium

Bolívar secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Real Potosí at the Hernando Siles stadium, climbing back to third place in the league standings with 21 points. This win, their sixth of the season, came just days before a significant Copa Sudamericana fixture against Gremio.

The match saw Bolívar take an early lead in the 16th minute through a penalty converted by Dorny Romero. However, Real Potosí fought back, with Luis Alí equalizing just before halftime. The goal was initially disallowed but overturned by VAR. Real Potosí came close to scoring multiple times, hitting the crossbar on two occasions, denying them a potential equalizer.

In the second half, Bolívar's offensive pressure increased with the introduction of Patricio Rodríguez and Dairon Asprilla. Asprilla scored the decisive second goal in the 57th minute, capitalizing on his speed to beat the defense. Despite further attempts by Real Potosí to equalize, including hitting the crossbar again in the 89th minute, Bolívar managed to hold on to their lead.

The win places Bolívar two points behind second-placed The Strongest and five points behind leaders Always Ready. Meanwhile, Real Potosí's unbeaten run of five matches was broken, leaving them in sixth place with 16 points. Bolívar's focus now shifts to their Copa Sudamericana challenge on Thursday.
