Bolivian player Morales involved in heavy collision that sent Inter Miami's Berterame to ambulance

A severe aerial collision between Bolivian defender Efraín Morales and Inter Miami forward Germán Berterame left the Argentine player requiring an ambulance ride during a Major League Soccer match. The incident occurred during a play for the ball in the Montreal team's penalty area.

Berterame fell heavily to the turf after the impact and remained motionless, prompting teammate Brayan Vera to immediately call for medical assistance. After several minutes of treatment, the Argentine attacker was immobilized on a stretcher and transported to a Montreal clinic for medical evaluation.

Despite the initial scare, Inter Miami coach Guillermo Hoyos reassured that Berterame is conscious and out of danger. "He is recovering right now, he is well, conscious. His family is aware of everything. They are calm. The most important thing is that he is well, and he is well now," Hoyos stated after the match.

The referee awarded a penalty for the collision between Morales and Berterame. Luis Suárez successfully converted the spot-kick, scoring the game's only goal and securing a 1-0 victory for Inter Miami over Montreal.
