Books reopens its renovated store at Shopping Mariscal with book launch

Books has celebrated the reopening of its store at Shopping Mariscal, unveiling a renovated space designed to be a modern, practical, and welcoming meeting point for literature enthusiasts. Located on the ground floor of Block A, the revitalized bookstore is surrounded by art galleries and cafes, aiming to enhance the shopping center's cultural appeal.

The inauguration featured a special event: the launch of Jorge Mendelzon's new book, "De pie. Palabras para sostener el alma" (Standing Tall. Words to Sustain the Soul). The book chronicles Mendelzon's personal journey, reflections, and lessons learned over the past 15 months while undergoing treatment for sinovitis nodular pigmentosa, a condition affecting his right knee for over two decades.

Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the author, asking questions about his experiences and the book's background. A significant aspect of the launch is its social mission: the entirety of the funds raised from the book's sales will be donated to an organization dedicated to providing free prosthetic legs. This initiative aims to empower individuals, enabling them to "stand tall" and regain mobility.
