Boxing analyst: Hrgović is the perfect opponent for Itauma's title bid

Filip Hrgović, Croatia's top heavyweight boxer, faces his biggest career match on August 31st in London. He will compete for the vacant IBF world championship title against the young British fighter Moses Itauma at the O2 Arena.

As the fight approaches, boxing analysts are offering their predictions. Gareth A. Davis, a respected analyst in both boxing and MMA circles, stated in the "Final Rounds" podcast that Hrgović is the ideal opponent for Itauma's ascent to the throne. Davis specifically pointed out Hrgović's weaknesses, noting, "He doesn't move, he uses his legs very little." He believes this makes the Croatian boxer easily hittable.

However, not all analysts agree. Lee Phelps suggested that "El Animal" (Hrgović) would be a more challenging opponent than Frank Sanchez, the Cuban boxer initially slated for this fight. Davis countered Phelps's assessment, arguing that Sanchez is a dangerous fighter with a powerful punch. Despite this, Davis maintained his stance that Hrgović's style presents a perfect opportunity for Itauma to secure the championship.
