Bulog: Food aid distribution in Alor is tangible proof of state presence

The distribution of food aid in Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, represents a tangible manifestation of the state's commitment to ensuring equitable access to food for all citizens, according to Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, President Director of state-owned logistics company Bulog. This initial distribution ensures that even communities in archipelagic regions receive their rightful share of essential food supplies.

Today we came directly to Alor to ensure that government food aid truly reaches the community. This is not just about distributing rice, but about ensuring the state's presence is directly felt by the people.

Ramdhani stated that the government's presence, alongside Bulog, in Alor is part of a broader effort to guarantee that all Indonesians have equal access to food. He stressed that the visit was not merely a ceremonial act of rice distribution but a demonstration of the state's tangible presence being felt directly by the community.

The aid distributed is an allocation for three months, so each family will receive 30 kilograms of rice.

The food aid program in Alor is allocated for three months, covering July, August, and September. A total of 37,338 households are targeted to receive the assistance, with each family set to receive 30 kilograms of rice. The distribution extends to various villages, including Fuisama, Probur, and Lembur Barat, ensuring aid reaches the community level.

For Bulog, no region is too far to serve. Alor is part of Indonesia, and its people have the same right to receive attention and access to food. We will continue to ensure food reaches the community.

Ramdhani acknowledged the geographical challenges inherent in distributing food across Indonesia's vast archipelago. He emphasized the critical need for strong synergy between the central government, regional authorities, Bulog, and all stakeholders to ensure aid reaches even the most remote areas. Bulog remains committed to serving all regions, asserting that Alor is an integral part of Indonesia and its people deserve equal attention and access to food.
