Busko-Zdrój has earned the title of Poland's top spa destination, according to a ranking compiled from reader votes by Travelist magazine. This recognition highlights the growing trend of seniors choosing private spa treatments over lengthy waits for National Health Fund (NFZ) referrals.

While private stays require full payment, they offer the flexibility to select specific facilities, dates, and tailor treatments to individual needs. This approach allows visitors to potentially access discounts that reduce the overall cost of their stay and therapies.

Senior citizens are increasingly opting for private trips to such places, wanting to avoid long waits for referrals from the NFZ.

Busko-Zdrój, situated in a sheltered basin between the Świętokrzyskie Mountains and the Krakow-Częstochowa Jura, boasts one of Poland's sunniest climates. The spa town is renowned for its sulfurous waters, utilized in both medicinal baths and drinking cures. Visitors can also explore the Spa Park, the historic Marconi Sanatorium, a brine graduation tower, and a concert shell.

One of the most important advantages of Busko-Zdrój is its mild microclimate.

Prices for private stays in Busko-Zdrój vary by season. During peak season, a double room with a bathroom starts at 350 PLN per day, while a single room begins at 390 PLN. Off-season rates, from January 1 to April 14 and October 15 to December 31, are lower, with a double room costing 310 PLN and a single room 340 PLN per day. Holders of various discount cards, including the Large Family Card and National Senior Card, may be eligible for further reductions.
