Calls for the dissolution of Parliament should DAP withdraw from Malaysia's unity government are unfounded, according to PKR Deputy Secretary-General Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad. He asserted that the current coalition government possesses adequate mandate and support to complete its term.

Saifuddin criticized the suggestion, made by Pas Assistant Secretary-General Khairul Faizi Ahmad Kamil, as a failure to grasp the fundamental basis of a government chosen by the people. "The administration of a government is built on the mandate of the people and should be completed within a full term, especially when its excellent administration has proven to drive the country's economic growth," Saifuddin stated.

He further explained that even if the DAP's grassroots members decide their leadership should leave administrative positions, the situation would remain stable. "If the DAP grassroots take the decision for their leadership to leave administrative positions, the situation will remain stable because their Members of Parliament will still be part of the government's support bloc," he said.

Saifuddin clarified that DAP parliamentarians could continue to support the government even without holding ministerial posts. This, he suggested, would be an internal party strategy to focus on strengthening the organization, rather than a sign of the government losing its majority. He added that with more than a two-thirds majority in Parliament, the Madani government would not face issues in appointing the necessary cabinet ministers to ensure smooth administration. He also noted that DAP ministers and deputy ministers have diligently performed their duties despite ongoing political slander.
