Carrick urges Man Utd to spend more to challenge for title

Michael Carrick is pressing Manchester United to increase their spending on new signings to keep pace with Premier League title rivals. The club has already invested around £85 million ($114 million) in players like Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Karl Darlow since the end of last season.

Carrick believes that Manchester United requires greater quality and depth to contend for their first English title since 2013, while also navigating the Champions League.

United's record transfer fee remains the £89.5 million paid for Paul Pogba in 2016.
