Chilean Driver Clemente Huerta Claims First Podium of Season in US Formula 4

Chilean junior driver Clemente Huerta achieved his first podium finish of the season this Saturday, securing third place in Race 1 of the fourth round of the US Formula 4 Championship at the New Jersey Motorsports Park.

The race was won by Uruguay's Gastón Irazú, who also secured pole position. Irazú crossed the finish line with a time of 30 minutes, 13.892 seconds. South Africa's Zach Fourier came in second, just 0.601 milliseconds behind Irazú, while Huerta finished third, 1.015 seconds off the lead.

"I am very happy with this podium after so much work and suffering in the first part of the year without positive results. We still need to adjust small details, and I will be able to get higher," Huerta stated. The 17-year-old driver had not reached the podium in the first three events of the year, a contrast to the six podiums he achieved in 2025.

Following his previous struggles, Huerta decided to rejoin Team Kiwi Motorsport, piloting a Ligier JS F422. This decision proved fruitful, leading to his long-awaited podium finish and a trophy. The young driver aims to continue improving and achieving better results in the remainder of the season.
