Chocolate request becomes final memory for mother after daughter's fatal crash

A final request for chocolate became a tragic memory for a mother after her only daughter died in a road accident. Nur Fatin Nabilah Yusrishahrun, 20, had messaged her mother, Siti Aisyah Hamdan, asking for Cadbury chocolate via WhatsApp shortly before the fatal crash. The accident occurred on the Johor Bahru-Mersing road.

Siti Aisyah, who lives in Melaka, said she had planned to buy her daughter's favorite chocolate when they met during the upcoming National Day holiday. "I told her I would buy it later, but I never expected this to happen," she told reporters at the Kota Tinggi Hospital's forensic unit.

Nur Fatin, described as a pampered child who was close to her grandmother, had recently moved to Tenggaroh to live with her grandparents. Her mother was unaware of her daughter's plans for the evening, only knowing that her daughter had sought permission from her grandparents to go out with a male friend.

The vehicle carrying Nur Fatin and her friend, Muhamad Shuhairil Soraiya, 21, reportedly lost control and collided with a Honda City. The crash also killed the Honda City's driver, Muhammad Amin Mukhtar, 35. Muhamad Shuhairil was an army personnel serving in Kem Iskandar, Mersing, and came from a military family.
