Christian Nodal's Father Denies Dispute Over Singer's Name Registration

Christian Nodal's father, Jaime González, has refuted claims of a falling out with his son over the registration of the singer's stage name. Recent media reports suggested a crisis within the Nodal family, alleging a dispute after González renewed the registration for the artist's name.

However, González clarified during a press encounter that his relationship with Christian remains strong, with regular communication. "We are fine, thank God. There are no problems with anything. We don't have money problems, we have communication. I spoke with him two days ago," he told "Despierta América."

Regarding the alleged legal battle over the commercial rights to "Christian Nodal," González explained that both he and his son understand their respective roles in the business. "I have always had the rights to the name because I am an investor and the creator of the career, and Christian has always known that. We are in talks to return them to him," he stated.

González also addressed his relationship with his daughter-in-law, Ángela Aguilar, and the negative comments she has faced. He expressed his disapproval of the "hate" directed at her, saying, "It's terrible. I don't like all the negative stuff they are receiving; nobody deserves it."

He further commented on his reduced presence in Nodal's career, attributing it to a new phase in the singer's professional life rather than a personal rift. "I have more projects and I'm not as close as I was at the beginning. He is more mature and doesn't need me to look after him; he makes his own decisions," González said.
