Chuah poised to become Negeri Sembilan's new economic hub

Chuah, a district in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, is poised for significant economic growth with the planned development of a halal industrial zone and an industrial park. These initiatives are part of the Malaysia Vision Valley (MVV) 2.0 project and are expected to transform the area into a new economic powerhouse.

The dual projects aim to attract substantial new investment, generate numerous employment opportunities, and invigorate local business and economic activities. This economic influx is anticipated to elevate the socioeconomic standing of Chuah's residents and solidify Port Dickson's position as a key economic center within the state.

Datuk Yew Boon Lye, a candidate for the State Legislative Assembly in Chuah, emphasized the critical role these developments will play in the area's future. He pointed to the halal industrial hub in Tanah Merah, which is expanding from the already developed Bandar Enstek, and a planned 483-hectare industrial park by EcoWorld in collaboration with NS Corporation.

"I see the future development of Chuah depending on these two main projects," Yew stated. He believes that once operational, these projects will create more jobs and business prospects, particularly for the youth. Yew also expressed confidence that the development will encourage young people who have migrated elsewhere to return home, offering them both livelihood and proximity to family.

Despite the focus on industrial development, Yew assured that the welfare of residents engaged in agriculture and fishing remains a priority. The Department of Agriculture is providing advisory services and aid to farmers, while local fishermen's associations, with support from the Fisheries Department and the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority, are actively involved. The strategic location of Chuah, near Kuala Lumpur International Airport, further enhances its potential for growth.
