CJP founder Dipke details US education funding via scholarship, loan

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has clarified the financing of his Master of Science in Public Relations degree from Boston University. He stated that his education was paid for through a combination of a scholarship from the university and an education loan.

I received scholarship form Boston University and took an education loan to fund the rest of my expenses. I have to pay the loan.

Dipke shared a scholarship document with MOJO's Barkha Dutt, detailing a Dean's Scholarship from Boston University valued at $12,500 per semester for three semesters, totaling $37,500. He emphasized that he still has to repay the education loan.

His explanation comes after a Gujarat-based RTI activist questioned the source of funds for his US education. The activist also raised concerns about the CJP's legal status and the tax implications of a ₹1 crore legal defense fund announced by Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal.

Regarding the funding for the CJP's Jantar Mantar protests, Dipke stated that the party plans to raise money through crowdfunding and will ensure financial transparency. He also claimed that while higher-ranking Delhi Police officials followed orders from the Home Ministry, lower-ranking personnel were sympathetic to the movement, with some even expressing gratitude privately.

I won't lie to you, three people covering their faces with masks came to us and told us that they were thankful for the protests. Lower ranks were sympathetic towards us, the higher ranks were taking orders from Home Ministry.
