Colapinto: '13th place is what corresponds' for Hungarian GP qualifying

Franco Colapinto will start the Hungarian Grand Prix from 13th position, a result he attributes to the weekend's circumstances. The Argentine driver acknowledged that while he worked to recover lost time from Friday's practice, 13th place is where he and his Alpine car currently stand.

Colapinto missed significant portions of Friday's running. He did not participate in the first practice session and encountered an accident during the second. This limited his ability to set optimal lap times, particularly on a windy track where the car felt challenging to handle. He managed only a few fast laps, ending one with a trip off track in the final corner.

Despite the qualifying result, Colapinto remains optimistic about the race. He hopes to improve his position and score points for the team, similar to his performance in Belgium. He noted that overtaking is difficult on the Hungaroring circuit but expressed confidence in the team's race pace. The goal is to achieve a positive result before the upcoming summer holidays.
