Composer Lee Young-hoon's Instrumental Album 'A Short Piece' to Be Reissued on Vinyl

Fans of the late composer Lee Young-hoon and the iconic singer Lee Moon-sae have reason to celebrate as a special vinyl release of Lee Young-hoon's instrumental album, 'A Short Piece,' is set for September. This marks the first time the album, originally released in 1993, will be available on LP, a full 33 years later. The re-release is being handled by Young Hoon Music and distributed by KT Genie Music, with Grammy-winning engineer Hwang Byung-joon overseeing the remastering process.

'A Short Piece' offers a glimpse into Lee Young-hoon's artistic depth beyond his widely recognized hits like 'Red Sunset' and 'Old Love,' which formed the backbone of Lee Moon-sae's success. The album contains eight tracks, including 'A Conversation With You,' and is described by Lee himself as a work "like my soul." It was produced in collaboration with his musical partner Kim Myung-gon and the Bolshoi Orchestra during a trip to Russia in 1992, showcasing his ambition to explore a broader musical landscape as a pure musician.

This LP release is part of a larger initiative by Young Hoon Music to commemorate the 41st anniversary of Lee Young-hoon's debut. The company plans to continue reissuing his three instrumental albums on vinyl, ensuring his significant contributions to Korean pop music are remembered and appreciated.
