Criminal complaint filed against former prosecutor and YouTube host in Serbia

A criminal complaint has been filed against former public prosecutor Jasmina Paunović and Dejan Lučić, a host of a YouTube show, following an order from the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade. The charges stem from alleged hate speech and incitement during a broadcast on July 21.

Paunović and Lučić are accused of grossly insulting, humiliating, and inciting hatred and discrimination against members of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), the President of the Republic, his family, and other political opponents. The complaint details their statements made during the show.

Furthermore, Paunović is specifically accused of making ethnically charged insults against Black people and Arabs during the same broadcast. The criminal complaint, which RTS has seen, charges her with two counts of racial and other discrimination, one of which was allegedly committed in complicity with Lučić, and the other solely by her.
