Cyber Hankuk University Appoints Two Special Professors for 2026

Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies has taken a significant step towards enhancing its global standing by appointing two distinguished special professors, Kim Seung-soo and Ko Min-seok, to its Athena Liberal Arts department. This strategic move, formalized on April 29th, underscores the university's commitment to fostering internationalization and enriching its academic offerings.

President Moon Hwi-chang expressed his confidence in the new appointees, highlighting their expertise, global networks, and passion for education. He anticipates that their contributions will significantly bolster the university's international capabilities and solidify its position as a leader in the global education market. The university, known for its specialized foreign language programs, aims to leverage these new appointments to further expand its global reach and competitiveness.

Professor Kim Seung-soo brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles, including dean at Pakistan Scouts Cadet College and deputy secretary-general of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). His expertise spans financial and IT sectors across various countries, with a focus on youth education, global human exchange, and international cooperation networks. Professor Ko Min-seok, an honorary consul appointed by the Romanian government, has a strong background in diplomatic bridge-building and legal expertise in immigration for foreigners, serving as the representative lawyer at KL Law Firm and an honorary legal advisor to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Korea.

Both professors are expected to provide specialized support to the Athena Liberal Arts department, driving the university's global competency enhancement through diverse academic and practical activities. This initiative reflects Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies' ongoing dedication to cultivating a globally competitive educational environment.
