Cyclist Couple Returns to Penghu for Charity Sale Benefiting Child Welfare

After a six-year absence, the "Island-Cycling Couple," Lin Bo and Jin Baoyi, have returned to Penghu, bringing their signature steamed buns and a mission of goodwill. From now until October 3rd, they are holding three charity sales, with every penny of the proceeds dedicated to the Penghu Child Welfare Center. This initiative aims to support the healthy development of children from disadvantaged families in the region.

The couple is offering their steamed buns at a "heartwarming love price" of NT$100 per pack, which includes six buns in classic flavors like brown sugar, sesame, pumpkin, and basil. The sales are taking place at the Child Welfare Center for pick-ups on September 28th, and at the Beichen Market's Penghu County Farmers' Association on September 29th and October 3rd. The organizers are encouraging the public to participate by purchasing the buns, turning a simple act of buying food into an act of kindness.

This year marks the 12th anniversary of the couple's dedicated journey across Taiwan. Their "Touring Taiwan to Send Love - Gratitude Journey" began in Penghu this year, underscoring the islands' significance in their long-standing charitable endeavors. Over the years, the couple has consistently donated all proceeds from their sales to various child welfare organizations, demonstrating unwavering commitment to supporting vulnerable children.

Their charitable work extends beyond sales; they have also conducted free steamed bun making workshops and shared their life stories in orphanages, social welfare institutions, rural schools, and community care centers. Even during the height of the pandemic, they visited 125 hospitals across Taiwan to deliver freshly steamed buns to frontline medical workers, showcasing their dedication to supporting those in need through various means.
