Czech President Petr Pavel becomes freelance sports photojournalist

Czech President Petr Pavel has taken on a new role as a freelance sports photojournalist, joining the Czech Club of Sports Journalists. The club confirmed that Pavel met all recruitment requirements and was accepted into the organization.

Michal Dusík, the club's chairman, stated that they are pleased with President Pavel's interest in joining an organization that has united professional sports journalists, reporters, photojournalists, and other media professionals since 1923. Dusík clarified that Pavel is joining not in his presidential capacity, but as a photographer with a focus on motorsport.

The President met all the requirements for recruitment for the position of freelance photojournalist and was accepted into the organization.

Pavel has a well-documented passion for photography, with a particular emphasis on motorsports. He has previously been accredited by the FIA for the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix and has captured images at significant events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, the Czech MotoGP Grand Prix in Brno, and the Prague Speedway Grand Prix. His photographic pursuits demonstrate a dedication beyond his presidential duties.

The club emphasized that President Pavel's application was processed through their standard recruitment procedure, which involves evaluating a candidate's achievements. His acceptance signifies a unique intersection of high political office and professional sports media, highlighting his personal interests and skills in photojournalism.
