Dali Township Honors 27 Exemplary Mothers at Gaia Manor

In Chiayi County's Dali Township, the local government orchestrated a heartwarming Mother's Day celebration, honoring 27 remarkable mothers. The event, aptly named 'Love in Darling Every Day,' unfolded at the elegant Gaia Manor, a venue chosen for its symbolic connection to 'Gaia,' the earth goddess, representing the nurturing strength of mothers.

Township Mayor Xu Youjiang personally recognized each of the 27 mothers, highlighting their resilience and dedication in supporting their families. He emphasized the significance of the Gaia Manor setting, drawing parallels between the earth goddess and the honorees who, like the earth, provide a steadfast foundation for their families. The mayor encouraged the mothers to set aside their daily chores and be pampered, enjoying a feast prepared with local specialties in a beautiful setting.

This year's honorees include Xie Limei, a 73-year-old who, along with her late husband, ran the town's only driving school and later offered the premises for community use, embodying a spirit of altruism. She will also be recognized by the county government. The oldest honoree, 94-year-old Jiang Jianxiu Xin, raised her children with simple, honest values while farming. Ninety-year-old Lai Xiuhua, who married into a large family at 21, raised five children and cared for her sister-in-law with Down syndrome for many years, now presides over a family of 56. These women, through their hard work and dedication, exemplify the enduring spirit of motherhood in Dali Township.
