Danareksa Industrial Holdings Mobilize $423 Million in Aid for East Nusa Tenggara Earthquake Victims

PT Danareksa (Persero) and its network of industrial estate partners have mobilized significant aid for communities devastated by a recent earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The collective effort, involving seven industrial estate holding members, their tenants, employees, and partners, raised Rp423 million to support those impacted by the disaster.

Coordinated by PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER), the closest holding member to the affected region, the initiative ensured a swift and efficient distribution of aid. This humanitarian action was spurred by a magnitude 7.7 tectonic earthquake on August 15, 2026, which caused widespread damage to homes and public facilities across NTT. As of August 27, 2026, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that 176,000 people remained in displacement camps.

PT Danareksa President Director, Ngurah Wirawan, emphasized the company's commitment to leveraging its business network and capacity for the community's benefit. "As an industrial estate holding company focused on value creation, we are committed to optimizing our network, scale, and business capacity as a strength that provides real benefits to the community," Wirawan stated. He expressed gratitude for the collective response from the industrial estate ecosystem, tenants, employees, and partners in accelerating the recovery of earthquake-affected communities.

The aid package includes 9.5 tons of rice, over 1,100 ready-to-eat meals, 300 liters of cooking oil, more than 500 units of milk and formula, over 200 sleeping kits (mattresses, pillows, blankets, tarps), and over 440 family hygiene kits. Contributions came from PT Kawasan Industri Medan, PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara, PT Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma, PT Kawasan Industri Makassar, PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (Perseroda), PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang, and SIER, along with their employees and tenants.

Distribution occurred in two phases: the first on August 21, 2026, through the BRI Peduli Disaster Response Post for NTT Earthquake, in collaboration with InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and the local disaster management agency (BPBD). The second phase on August 25, 2026, was managed through the East Java Provincial Disaster Management Agency. Rizka Syafittri Siregar, SIER's Director of Finance, Administration, and Risk Management, assured that the distribution process was accountable and needs-oriented, confirming that the aid met the victims' most urgent requirements.
