Deli Serdang Uses Additional Rp 493.85 Billion for Infrastructure, Education, and Disaster Preparedness

The Deli Serdang Regency is set to utilize an additional Rp 493.85 billion transfer fund for the 2026 fiscal year, prioritizing infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture. The government of Deli Serdang presented the utilization plan during a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Sumatra Regional Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (Satgas PRR). The additional funds, regulated by a Ministry of Finance decree, are specifically for regions impacted by disasters, as outlined in a Ministry of Home Affairs circular.

Of the total Rp 493.85 billion, Rp 281.29 billion is earmarked for infrastructure development. Education will receive Rp 77.98 billion, health Rp 17.64 billion, and agriculture Rp 11.30 billion. The remaining Rp 105.65 billion will cover other governmental affairs. As of July 13, 2026, Rp 67.24 billion, or 13.6 percent, has been realized, with most regional work units entering the physical implementation phase, despite some procurement adjustments due to price fluctuations.
