Delta road collapse halts vehicle movement, sparks crisis

Vehicle traffic to and from Illah in Delta State's Oshimili North Local Government Area has been severely disrupted following the complete collapse of the Illah-Ugbolu Road. On Tuesday, numerous vehicles, including cement trucks belonging to Dangote, were stranded. Some vehicles reportedly became stuck while attempting to navigate the failed sections, causing a major blockage and leaving commuters stranded.

Illah-Ugbolu Road is no longer just in a bad condition. It has completely failed. As of today, the road has been cut off, leaving commuters stranded and making it practically impossible to travel in or out of Illah through the Ugbolu axis.

Molokwu Azuka, a resident who brought the situation to the attention of the Delta State Government, described the road as having deteriorated beyond simple repairs. "Illah-Ugbolu Road is no longer just in a bad condition. It has completely failed," he stated. "As of today, the road has been cut off, leaving commuters stranded and making it practically impossible to travel in or out of Illah through the Ugbolu axis."
