Delta senator Dafinone declares second term bid

Senator Ede Dafinone has officially declared his bid for a second term representing the Delta Central Senatorial District, signaling a strong intent to continue his service in the National Assembly. The declaration, held in Ughelli, was a significant display of political solidarity, drawing a large turnout of party faithful and stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC), underscoring the senator's established base within the district.

Today, I stand before you to formally declare my intention to seek re-election to the Senate.

Dafinone's address focused on his commitment to service, integrity, and accountability, values he attributes to his late father, a former senator himself. He took the opportunity to enumerate his legislative accomplishments, which included various empowerment initiatives, support for small businesses, and advocacy for critical infrastructure projects like the Sapele seaport. These efforts, he stated, are aimed at fostering growth and development within Delta Central.

Aligning himself with the national and state leadership, Dafinone expressed his support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. His re-election campaign message emphasizes a future focused on collective progress, job creation, youth empowerment, and economic development for the people of Delta Central. The APC Chairman in the district, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, commended the senator's early declaration, assuring that the party would follow due process in candidate selection while encouraging grassroots mobilization.
