Deputy PM Zahid offers condolences on student's passing after road accident

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has expressed his condolences following the death of student Qayyim Ajwad. The student passed away on Sunday morning after being involved in a road accident with a group of fellow students from Sekolah Menengah Imtiaz Ulul Albab Melaka.

The children at SM Imtiaz Ulul Albab, I consider them like my own children.

Ahmad Zahid stated that the news of Qayyim Ajwad's passing deeply saddened him. He revealed that since the accident involving the school group, he had been praying for the recovery of all injured victims. The Deputy Prime Minister considers the students from the school as his own, making the loss of one of them particularly heartbreaking.

That is why every development concerning them is very close to my heart, and the loss of one of them is truly heartbreaking news.

As the founder of the institution, Ahmad Zahid extended his sympathies to Qayyim Ajwad's family, the school community, and friends who are mourning the loss. He prayed for strength and fortitude for the family during this difficult time. He also urged the public to recite Al-Fatihah and pray for the departed soul to be blessed by Allah SWT, for his sins to be forgiven, his good deeds accepted, and for him to be placed among the faithful.

May Allah SWT grant strength and fortitude to the entire family in facing this very difficult test.

Previously, a teacher was seriously injured and three students from the same school sustained injuries when their vehicle collided with a lorry in Solok Duku, Melaka. The group was returning from a ping pong competition at a Chinese primary school in Cheng.
