Dinamo Zagreb sends message of support amid Omiš wildfire

Zagreb's Dinamo football club has sent a message of support to firefighters and residents affected by a major wildfire near Omiš, Croatia. The blaze, which raged overnight, caused extensive damage, destroying homes and vehicles and prompting evacuations.

Dinamo posted a photo of firefighters on social media, thanking them for their efforts. The club adapted its well-known slogan to "No surrender, brave people!" in solidarity with those battling the flames. The message also extended well wishes to those injured.

The fire, which started in Lokva Rogoznica, spread rapidly towards Omiš, reaching close to populated areas. This forced some residents and tourists to evacuate their accommodations. Significant material damage was reported, with cars and buildings destroyed. Medical assistance was sought by 36 individuals, with 14 hospitalized and seven in serious condition.

The club's gesture joins numerous other messages of support for the emergency services who worked through the night to control the fire and protect the community.
