DNA Results In for Rector and Nephew in Rojin Kabaiş Investigation

An investigation into the death of 21-year-old Rojin Kabaiş, a preschool education student at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, has reached a critical stage with the release of DNA test results. Kabaiş was found dead on the shores of Van Lake after being reported missing.

The Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting a comprehensive investigation into the case. Following autopsy findings that identified DNA profiles from two different males on Kabaiş, authorities collected DNA samples from approximately 600 individuals. This extensive collection included samples from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Şevli and his nephew, Enes Şevli, following suspicions raised by the Kabaiş family.

However, the eagerly awaited forensic examination results have determined that the DNA samples from Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Şevli and his nephew Enes Şevli do not match the DNA profiles found on Rojin Kabaiş. This development, reported by Tv100, brings a significant update to the ongoing probe.

The genetic screening process continues as investigators work to identify the individuals associated with the two distinct male DNA profiles discovered. The meticulous comparison and analysis of the roughly 600 DNA samples collected so far are ongoing, as authorities strive to shed light on the suspicious circumstances surrounding Kabaiş's death.
