Nightclub Owner Arrested in Turkey Over Alleged Praise for Crime Boss

A nightclub owner in Bodrum, Turkey, has been arrested as part of an investigation into alleged promotion of an organized crime figure. The Muğla Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch initiated the operation following reports that a nightclub displayed laudatory messages for B.Y., the fugitive leader of the Daltonlar crime group, during a birthday celebration. The footage was reportedly shared on social media by one of the business owners.

During searches of the residences and business premises of the nightclub owners, identified as H.İ.Y. and B.Y., police seized significant items. These included two unlicensed handguns, 271 rounds of ammunition, two long magazines, four short magazines, a ballistic vest, 18 synthetic pills, and approximately 1 gram of crack cocaine.

The business operator, H.İ.Y., was taken into custody and subsequently brought before a court. He was ordered to be jailed pending trial. Efforts are reportedly ongoing to apprehend the other business owner, B.Y.
