Country music legend Dolly Parton is mourning the loss of her older brother, Coy "Denver" Parton, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 82. The news was confirmed by Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville, Tennessee, though the cause of death was not publicly disclosed.

Denver Parton was described as the most private of the twelve children of Avie Lee and Robert Lee Parton. He valued anonymity and a quiet life, working as a crane operator and building bridges across Tennessee. He also pursued farming and hunting on his own property.
