Dome Kwabenya MP commissions renovated Taifa Community KG School

The Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Faustina Elikplim Akurugu, has officially commissioned a renovated kindergarten block at the Taifa Community School. This initiative aims to enhance the learning environment and boost academic performance within the constituency.

Education is one of the greatest investments any society could make, saying every classroom built and every child supported contributed to building a stronger constituency and a better future for Ghana.

The renovation project received sponsorship from Imperial Homes, operating through its Imperial Charity Foundation. At the commissioning ceremony, Ms. Akurugu emphasized the constituency's dedication to providing children with a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for learning. She highlighted education as a critical investment for societal progress, stating that each classroom built and child supported contributes to a stronger constituency and a brighter future for Ghana.

Ms. Akurugu expressed her gratitude to Imperial Homes for their sponsorship, noting that their investment extends beyond a school building to the future of hundreds of children who will utilize the facility. She encouraged other corporate organizations, philanthropists, and development partners to consider similar partnerships to support educational development in various communities. Education remains a top priority for Ms. Akurugu, who stressed that no child should be denied quality education due to poverty, lack of materials, or poor infrastructure.

The company had invested not only in a school building but also in the future of hundreds of children who would use the facility over the years.

The MP also outlined other educational interventions in the constituency, including the distribution of desks, exercise books, mathematical sets, school uniforms, and teaching materials. Support has also been extended to brilliant but needy students through scholarships and fee payments, and the library at Kwabenya Senior High School was also renovated. She urged teachers to continue nurturing pupils with dedication and encouraged parents to remain active partners in their children's education. The Ga East Municipal Chief Executive, Edmund Agboh, commended the MP's efforts and highlighted the project as an example of effective collaboration. He appealed for proper maintenance of the facility and assured residents of continued government support for basic education.
