Dompet Dhuafa Kaltim Distributes Study Packages to Indonesian-Malaysian Border Students

Dompet Dhuafa Kalimantan Timur, an Indonesian non-profit organization, has demonstrated its commitment to education and children's welfare by distributing essential supplies to students and teachers at a border school. The initiative, part of the "Sharing Smiles of Goodness for Border Schools" program, coincided with Indonesia's National Children's Day.

The distribution took place at MI Darul Furqon, also known as Sekolah Tapal Batas (Border School), located in Sebatik Tengah District, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan. This region is situated directly on the border with Malaysia. The program's objective is to bring joy and provide support to the students and educators working in this remote border area.

During the event, Dompet Dhuafa Kalimantan Timur provided 37 study packages for the students and staple food packages for the educators. This gesture serves as an appreciation for their dedication to educating the younger generation in the border region.

The atmosphere was filled with cheerfulness, and the students responded with enthusiasm. Before the aid distribution, participants enjoyed a storytelling session led by a member of the Gerakan Pramuka Sebatik Tengah. The engaging storytelling conveyed educational messages and motivational support to the children.

Adnan Lolo, the headmaster of Sekolah Tapal Batas, expressed deep gratitude for Dompet Dhuafa Kalimantan Timur's attention and assistance. He stated that the aid not only benefits the students and teachers directly but also serves as a significant encouragement for the school to continue providing the best possible education in the border area. He hopes such programs will continue to reach more children.
