Domžale Library Opens Search for Five-Year Director

Domžale Library has opened a recruitment process for a director who will lead the institution for a five-year mandate beginning March 1, 2027.

The position requires a completed university-level degree in the social sciences or humanities, a professional librarianship examination and at least five years of experience at a cultural institution. Candidates must also have three years of management experience, knowledge of the COBISS library system, organizational skills, active command of Slovenian and Slovenian citizenship.

The director will represent the library, lead its professional work and take responsibility for the legality and quality of its operations. The role also includes organizing the library’s work, adopting strategic and annual work plans, preparing staffing and investment plans, managing employment contracts and reporting to the founding municipalities and the institution’s council.

The successful candidate will also organize the integration of any newly established library unit approved by the founding municipalities.
