Dong Nai Approves Three Major Transport Projects Worth Over 110 Trillion VND

Dong Nai province is forging ahead with ambitious infrastructure development, approving three significant transportation projects with a combined investment exceeding 110 trillion VND. This bold move underscores the province's commitment to bolstering its connectivity and economic potential, particularly in light of the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport.

The approved projects are set to revolutionize the region's transportation network. A key highlight is the extension of Metro Line 1 from Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien to the provincial administrative center and the new Long Thanh Airport. This metro extension, estimated at over 65 trillion VND, will create a vital link between Ho Chi Minh City and the burgeoning airport, facilitating smoother travel and cargo transport.

Additionally, the province will see the construction of an elevated highway along National Highway 51, connecting Vung Tau to the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau expressway. This 6.2km project, costing nearly 29 trillion VND, aims to alleviate traffic congestion and improve travel efficiency on a critical artery. Another significant undertaking is the road connecting Ma Da bridge to Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 4, spanning 44.5km and including a substantial elevated section through a nature reserve, reflecting a balance between development and environmental preservation.
