Dream run continues for Ra High School

Ra High School has etched its name in history by securing a semi-final berth in the Vodafone Deans Trophy Under-18 competition, pulling off one of the tournament's biggest upsets. The team triumphed over defending champions Ratu Kadavulevu School with a nail-biting 12-10 victory at Garvey Park in Tavua.

This remarkable achievement is particularly significant as it marks Ra High School's debut in the Under-18 grade. The narrow win underscores the team's resilience, determination, and hunger for success against a formidable opponent.

Captain Iliesa Nacele expressed profound gratitude, attributing the historic win to "divine intervention." He emphasized the team's humble spirit and thankfulness for the strength granted to them, without which, he believes, defeating the reigning champions would have been impossible.

The strong turnout and vocal support from their fans also played a crucial role in motivating Ra High School to victory. The team now advances to face Suva Grammar School in the semi-finals, carrying the hopes of their community.

This win here today wouldn’t have been possible without God’s help. This is the first time for us to compete in the under-18 grade, and to be able to reach this far, we are just humble and thankful to God for giving us the strength; without him, we couldn’t have beaten the defending champions.
