Authorities in Brașov, Romania, have decided to investigate a 50-year-old driver in a state of freedom after he caused a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of two tourists and serious injuries to a third. The incident occurred on August 11 around 8:46 PM when the driver's vehicle veered onto the sidewalk in the city center, hitting three pedestrians.

The victims included a 25-year-old Romanian man and a 34-year-old German tourist, both of whom succumbed to their injuries. A third German tourist, aged 31, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital, reportedly in critical condition. In fact, it was established that on August 11, around 8:46 PM, a 50-year-old man was driving a car on a street in the central area of Brașov municipality, then entered the sidewalk on the right side of his direction of travel, where he surprised and hit three male individuals, two of whom died, namely a 25-year-old man from Piatra Neamț municipality and a 34-year-old German citizen, and the third victim, also a German citizen, aged 31, suffered injuries and was transported to a medical unit.
