Drljačić Crowned Croatia's Double Champion, Mladost Sets Club Record

Veronika Drljačić emerged as the star of the Croatian Athletics Championships in Zagreb, securing an impressive two individual gold medals and a bronze on the first day of the senior competition. Her victories included the 100 meters with a time of 11.69 seconds and the 400 meters in a commanding 51.90 seconds. The 400m performance was the highest-rated result of the women's events.

Drljačić's dominance was particularly evident in the 400m, where she finished nearly five seconds ahead of her closest competitor, Ivona Didović. She also contributed to a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay. In other events, Magdalena Perić narrowly won the women's triple jump by a mere five centimeters over Paula Borović, while Klara Andrijašević and Klara Wild were dominant in the 1500m and 100m hurdles, respectively.

In the men's competition, David Došen claimed two gold medals, winning the 100 meters in 10.70 seconds and being part of the winning 4x100m relay team for HAAK Mladost. Filip Pravdica also secured two golds, triumphing in the long jump with a leap of 7.75 meters and as a member of the 4x100m relay team that set a new Croatian club record with a time of 40.43 seconds. The highest-rated men's performance came from Nino Jambrešić, who won the 1500m in 3:38.25.
