Drunk teen drags police officers in Graz before crashing

A routine traffic stop in Graz, Austria, escalated dramatically when a drunk 17-year-old motorcyclist dragged two police officers several meters before crashing.

The incident occurred Sunday night when officers in an unmarked vehicle pursued the teenager, who was weaving erratically through traffic. At a red light in the Geidorf district, the officers identified themselves and attempted to detain the young rider. However, the 17-year-old suddenly accelerated, pulling the officers along by their arms.

After a short distance, the motorcyclist lost control and fell, attempting to flee the scene on foot. One of the officers quickly apprehended him. Investigations revealed the teenager was driving without a license and had a high blood alcohol content.

The driver sustained injuries from the fall and was taken to the Graz University Hospital. The two police officers involved in the incident were fortunate to escape without physical harm.
