Drunken Sailor Arrested for Harassing Minors in Greece; Girls Fall into Sea to Escape

A shocking incident occurred in Raches, Fthiotida, Greece, where a drunken foreign sailor allegedly harassed underage girls, leading some to jump into the sea to escape. The event took place late Friday night near the local harbor.

The accused, a 30-year-old Indian national and crew member of a cargo ship, reportedly separated from his companions and approached a group of girls. According to reports, he began to harass them and engage in indecent acts. In their attempt to flee, two or three of the girls fell into the sea.

Parents of some of the girls arrived at the scene and alerted the authorities. The sailor was apprehended by the Stilida Port Authority's security office on charges of "offense against sexual dignity." During questioning, the man claimed to have no memory of his actions. A court found him guilty and sentenced him to 23 months in prison, a portion of which he will serve before being deported from Greece.
