Dubai opens 700-meter Al Qudra bridge, cutting waiting time from 7 minutes to 1

Dubai has inaugurated a new 700-meter Al Qudra bridge, a significant addition to the city's infrastructure aimed at easing traffic congestion. The four-lane bridge, located at the intersection of Al Qudra Road and Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, is part of a larger project to upgrade the intersection.

The newly opened bridge enhances traffic flow along Al Qudra Road towards Al Qudra City. Its opening marks the completion of the intersection's traffic configuration, following the inauguration of a complementary bridge in February that serves traffic heading from Al Qudra City towards Umm Suqeim. Together, these improvements are designed to boost connectivity between key corridors in the rapidly developing area.

Further enhancements are planned, with the RTA set to open side ramp bridges at the same intersection in the fourth quarter of 2026. These future ramps will facilitate smoother traffic movement in all directions without impacting the main carriageways. The ongoing development underscores Dubai's commitment to advanced urban planning and efficient transportation networks, aiming to reduce travel times from an average of 7 minutes to just 1 minute at this critical junction.
