Duky​​ang Holdings CEO Lee Hyun-tae Donates 500 Million Won to Children Worldwide: “Children Must Not Suffer”

Lee Hyun-tae, CEO of Dukyang Holdings, has donated 500 million won for children facing war, disasters, poverty and disease around the world.

The donation was delivered to the UNICEF Korean Committee by Gil Geum-jong, head of management at Dukyang Holdings, on Lee’s behalf. UNICEF said the funds will support children in countries including Venezuela, Ukraine, Lebanon and Nepal.

Lee joined the UNICEF Honors Club in 2022 after donating 100 million won for children affected by earthquakes and drought in Türkiye and East Africa. The latest contribution adds to that support and keeps him among the group’s high-value donors.

The UNICEF Honors Club brings together donors who have given at least 100 million won for children worldwide or pledged to provide that amount in the future. Members include people from business, culture and the arts. Choi Chung-kyo, a regional fundraising center director at the UNICEF Korean Committee, said the organization would work to ensure the funds reached children who need help most and helped them regain hope.
