DWD Forecasts Strong Thunderstorms for Baden-Württemberg on Friday

Baden-Württemberg residents can expect a stormy Friday as the German Weather Service (DWD) forecasts significant thunderstorms across the region. While the morning is expected to be mostly pleasant, the risk of thunderstorms will increase throughout the day, originating from the higher elevations.

DWD meteorologist Marco Puckert indicated that the thunderstorms are likely to intensify by the afternoon. Although they are possible anywhere in the state, they are predicted to be somewhat stronger in the southern and southeastern parts of Baden-Württemberg. These storms could bring heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts.

Temperatures are expected to be slightly lower than on Thursday. The DWD anticipates maximum temperatures of around 29 degrees Celsius in the Black Forest, while areas along the Rhine, Neckar, and Danube rivers could see highs between 32 and 35 degrees Celsius.

The forecast for the night into Saturday suggests predominantly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms continuing.
