Eight-year-old girl killed in Bogura; locals beat accused before police rescue

An eight-year-old girl, Amena Khatun, has died after being attacked with a machete near her home in Nandigram, Bogura. The incident occurred Friday afternoon while the child was playing near her house.

Locals reacted swiftly, apprehending the alleged attacker, identified as 35-year-old Abu Hossain. They proceeded to beat him before police arrived at the scene. Officers rescued Hossain from the mob and took him into custody. He was later admitted to Bogura Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital under police guard.
