The incident, captured on video and shared online, resonated widely. A local group, "Cà Mau 24h," along with individuals like Trần Minh Cảnh and Nguyễn Minh Tân, initiated a crowdfunding campaign. What began as a local effort quickly snowballed, with online donors contributing generously, ultimately raising over 100 million VND (approximately $4,000 USD).
