Ema Klinec 'drove' in the air and donned the yellow jersey again

Slovenian ski jumper Ema Klinec achieved a fifth-place finish in the Courchevel event of the summer Grand Prix in France, maintaining her position at the top of the overall standings. This result follows her victory in the previous weekend's competition in Poland.

Klinec delivered solid jumps, measuring 117 meters in the first round and 120 meters in the final round, accumulating a total of 202.2 points. She finished behind Norway's Anna Odine Strøm, Japan's Yuki Ito, Norway's Ingvild Midtskogen, and Japan's Kurumi Ichinoe. Despite some "turbulence" in the air affecting multiple competitors, Klinec felt her jumps were good.

With this performance, Klinec successfully defended her yellow jersey as the overall leader, holding a twelve-point advantage over second-placed Yuki Ito. Other Slovenian jumpers, Taja Bodlaj and Ajda Košnjek, finished in 25th and 27th place, respectively. The team's coach, Jurij Tepeš, expressed hope for more Slovenian athletes to score points in the upcoming competition.
