Enilive Acquires Service Station Network with Austrian Locations

The Italian energy group Eni's mobility division, Enilive, is set to significantly expand its European footprint by acquiring the service station operator Oil! from the British energy company Prax. The agreement covers 100 percent of Oil!'s shares, which operate around 320 service stations across Germany, Denmark, Austria, and Switzerland.

This strategic acquisition will boost Enilive's existing European network to approximately 5,300 locations. Notably, it will facilitate Enilive's entry into the Danish market. The 15 Austrian service stations included in the deal are spread across Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland, Styria, Tyrol, and Vorarlberg.

Following the transaction's completion, which is subject to approval from competition authorities, the Oil! stations will be progressively integrated into the Enilive network. Beyond conventional fuels, Enilive plans to offer renewable fuels such as HVO, alongside charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and other mobility services at these locations.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed. Prax Group had acquired Oil! in 2023 and previously faced media attention due to the insolvency of parts of its refinery business in the UK last year. Enilive, formerly known under the brands Eni and Agip, already operates over 300 service stations in Austria.
