Eskişehir Drug Operation Seizes Over 147,000 Ecstasy Pills; Nine Arrested

Turkish police in Eskişehir have confiscated a significant quantity of illegal drugs, seizing a total of 147,321 ecstasy pills across two operations. The busts occurred following an anonymous tip received late on August 21, 2026, reporting suspicious activity involving individuals forcing entry into a residence and loading packages onto motorcycles before fleeing.

Initial investigations at the reported address led to the discovery of 53,941 ecstasy pills. Further investigation by the Anti-Narcotics Crimes Branch identified eight suspects believed to be involved in transporting and storing the drugs within the city, having brought them from outside the province.

Simultaneous raids on four identified locations yielded an additional 93,380 ecstasy pills. The seized motorcycles used in the alleged criminal activity were also taken into custody. A total of nine individuals were apprehended and subsequently handed over to the Prosecutor's Office on charges of "Drug Trafficking."
